Effluent Monitoring
Effluent Monitoring
Effluent monitoring plays a crucial role in protecting water resources and ensuring compliance with environmental regulations. While SENSE has not yet executed effluent monitoring projects, our proven expertise in environmental monitoring and influent monitoring (including projects for LUAS – Lembaga Urus Air Selangor) positions us strongly to deliver reliable effluent monitoring solutions.
With our experience in designing, installing, and maintaining advanced environmental monitoring systems, SENSE is fully capable of supporting clients in effluent compliance projects.
Parameters Measured (Capability Scope)
- Biochemical Oxygen Demand (BOD)
- Chemical Oxygen Demand (COD)
- Total Suspended Solids (TSS)
- pH, temperature, and conductivity
- Ammonia (NHâ‚„-N)
- Oils and grease
- Heavy metals (as required by DOE or project scope)
Applications
- Regulatory Compliance: Support clients in meeting DOE and Environmental Quality Act standards.
- Industrial Wastewater Management: Monitor and control discharge from factories, plants, and processing facilities.
- Environmental Protection: Safeguard rivers, lakes, and marine ecosystems from potential pollution.
- Sustainability Reporting: Provide transparent data for environmental performance and ESG reporting.
Our Capabilities
- System design and integration for continuous effluent monitoring
- Experience in influent monitoring projects with regulatory bodies (e.g., LUAS)
- Integration with DOE-approved data loggers and reporting systems
- Preventive maintenance and calibration support
- Customized solutions for industrial, municipal, and environmental clients
Influent Monitoring
In addition to effluent monitoring capability, SENSE has successfully carried out Influent Monitoring projects, particularly for regulatory compliance under Lembaga Urus Air Selangor (LUAS).
Influent monitoring focuses on the incoming water streams to treatment plants or facilities, ensuring that raw water sources and pre-treatment conditions are continuously assessed. This enables industries and regulators to maintain operational efficiency and safeguard water quality before treatment and discharge.
Applications of Influent Monitoring
- Regulatory Compliance (LUAS & DOE): Ensure influent water quality meets regulatory requirements.
- Water Treatment Operations: Provide essential data for treatment efficiency and process control.
- Source Water Protection: Monitor rivers, catchments, and reservoirs to prevent contamination.
- Industrial Sustainability: Track incoming water quality for manufacturing and processing facilities.
Our Capabilities
- Deployment of influent monitoring systems at intake points and treatment facilities
- Collaboration with Hach Malaysia Sdn Bhd – Hach supplies the data logger, while SENSE develops the data collection, storage, and transmission system that sends information directly to LUAS.
- Experience in regulatory compliance projects with LUAS
- Integration of data loggers with centralized databases for reporting and compliance
- Calibration, preventive maintenance, and technical support
